Edwina Janette "Janie" Dillard

Edwina Janette “Janie” Dillard, 70 of Fort Worth, Texas passed into the glorious presence of her Savior Jesus Christ on December 26, 2016 at a Fort Worth hospital after a short illness.

She was born October 3, 1946 in Dallas Texas to Patsy Ruth and Raymond Archie Applin. She grew up in Seagoville Texas and graduated from Seagoville High School in 1965. She married Earl Leon Dillard on December 24, 1965 at Faith Bible Church in West Dallas.

They made their home in Seagoville, Texas until 1984 when they moved to the North Fort Worth/Keller area. She owned her own hairdressing business for many years and was an accounting clerk for Color Tile and Minyard Foods from which she retired.

She loved her family dearly and if you weren’t family you would soon become family to her. She loved Elvis and all things Las Vegas style. She loved Gospel music and seeing her Son, Daughter-in-law and Grandkids perform in The Promise in Glen Rose.

She is survived by son Phillip and his wife Paula of Fort Worth, grandchildren Robert and Alysa. Her nieces Cindy Terry and husband Carl, Linda Littleton and husband Michael. Her nephew Glen Dillard. Great nephew Alvin Featherston and his wife Dea. Great niece Stacy House and husband Nate. Great nieces Christy Mayberry and Martha Arrington. Great great nieces and nephews: Michael, Shelby, Ashley, Lilly, Blake, Parker, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Hannah, and Desean.

She was preceded in death by Her Husband Earl, Father Raymond, and Mother Patsy.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday December 29, 2016 from 1-3 PM followed by a celebration of life service at 3PM at Lucas Funeral Home 137 E Hill St Keller TX 76248.
