EJ Autrey

 EJ Autrey, 91, of Bedford, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024. He was born on May 13, 1933, in Smithfield, Texas, to Elizabeth and James Autrey.

 EJ was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and James, and his siblings JW, Lawrence, Beatrice, Dorothy, Eunice, Mary, and Elvira. He is survived by his nephew, James Babb, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly.

 A proud veteran, EJ served his country in the United States Air Force. He carried his sense of duty and love for others throughout his life, spreading kindness and joy to everyone who knew him.

 EJ was an avid collector of model trains and cars, a hobby that brought him great happiness. He was known for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and deep love for his family. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile and cheerful spirit.

 A celebration of EJ’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on December 28, 2024, at 3800 Central Dr., Bedford, TX 76022.

 In his memory, we share the following blessing:

the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again,

 EJ’s legacy of kindness and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
