Elaine Evelyn Becker, 91, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016, in Lubbock, TX.
SERVICES: 11:00 am Friday, November 4, at Zion Lutheran Church, 6001 FM 1105 in Walburg, TX. Interment will be held in Zion Cemetery following the service.
MEMORIALS: To honor Elaine's memory, donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Cemetery or to the Wesleyan Homes Benevolent Fund in Georgetown, TX.
Elaine was born on September 3, 1925 in Chicago, IL to John F. & Edna Traska Piotrowski. She graduated in 1942 from Wells High School in Chicago. She married her husband, Reverend Doctor Erwin George Becker, on August 10, 1945. They were longtime residents of Georgetown and enjoyed many happy years together until his death in 1999. Before she retired, Elaine was a secretary for various employers. Her last position held was that of the secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor. Until physically unable, Elaine was a devoted member of the Zion Evening Circle, helped with the Zion's Wurstfest and enjoyed visiting shut-ins. She had recently moved to Hurst, TX.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. Erwin George Becker; daughter, Lois Ann Aubry; son-in-law, Stephen L. Mueller, parents, John & Edna Piotrowski and infant sister, Edna Piotrowski.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Ruth Mueller and Beth A. Fischenich; son, Paul D. Becker; grandchildren, Rev. James Mueller & wife, April, Jennifer Mueller, Sean Becker & wife, Edna, Eric Becker, Christopher Fischenich & wife, Debra, Stephanie McClerkin, Patrick Aubry & wife, Kelly, and Mathew Aubry; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Isaiah, Ivy, Vienne & Leo Mueller; Kylie & Mikaela Reynolds, Ros McClerkin, Garrett Aubry, and Charlotte, Prim, Lila, Vienne & Claire Fischenich.
