Eli was born Jan. 13, 1997. He attended Colleyville Heritage High School and was a blessed member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Colleyville. He also attended Colleyville Middle School and the Child Study Center in Fort Worth. Eli was an enthusiastic participant in the Special Olympics and loved the 50-yard dash and the softball throw.
Eli's warmth was in his smile and his gift to us all was the light in his eyes and the beauty and grace in his laugh. During his brief but blessed life he loved puzzles, cards, books, games, trains and videos. His heart glowed while swimming and going for walks with his family while he pulled his wagon. He loved everyone he met and his love was contagious. He touched each of us with his sense of wonder and he made lasting friends wherever he went. While Eli is with God now, we were so lucky to have him and we learned so much from him.
Eli's family would like to extend a special expression of gratitude to all of Eli's doctors, teachers, caretakers and friends for always believing in him, caring for him and loving him. Your prayers, thoughts and actions have always been a great comfort to us.
Survivors: Eli is survived by his parents, Phil and Kathy Charon; his brothers, Oliver Charon, Eric Charon and Blake Wirht; his sisters, Phoebe Charon and Ursula Durham; his aunt, Susie Hesse; his uncles, Pat Hattic and Peter Charon; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
