Born in Texas to Federico Morales and Oralia Cantu.
Elida at the young age of 57 passed away from Covid19 in her home. She became sick and only 5 days later the virus had taken her life, while we are very saddened by the way she has passed. We would like to celebrate the life she lived. She was an independent woman from an early age, she moved from Lufkin, TX in which she spent many years going up, to Oregon, to Oklahoma then settling in Dallas, TX.
She always was a hard worker, working 2-3 jobs to make sure she supported and provided for her family. Standing at only 4’9", she was the epitome of big things come in little packages! She was beautiful, charismatic, funny and very social. She never met a stranger and wasn’t one to anyone.
Her later years she was always there for each one of her four children, being the mom and friend that each needed in their own stage of life. While she never had it easy in life you wouldn’t ever hear her complain and you would never forget her smile. She was a proud follower of Christ, she committed herself to be a devoted leader, teacher and minister of God’s word to all those around her, about the love and forgiveness that God offers. She was an assistant of the Church of Iglesia Universal of Irving, TX. Before Covid19 hit in 2020, you would find her devoting her weekends to serving her community in projects needed and in ministry. She may not have had much in the form of money, but she was the richest woman there was! Lastly, she took very good care of her grandchildren, two especially young girls who lived with her and she was adopting. These girls were filled with love and admiration of her despite their circumstance, that’s a true testament to how she could impact each life she touched, young or old. Her story is strength, will, determination, perseverance, and servitude. This is her legacy and the story that will inspire others for many years to come.
She is survived by her Sister America Morales, Brother Freddy Morales, Children; Sons – Jose A. Perez, Toy Garcia, Javier Garcia and Daughter Dalia Thompson. And 13 Grandchildren.
Elida, you are missed and forever loved. Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend! Now she rests in paradise with her new wings!
