Life on earth began March 29, 2005 – Entered eternal life on December 27, 2024. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elijah Ronald Hayes, who left this world far too soon at the young age of 19.
Elijah was a vibrant young man whose passion for life touched everyone he met. He excelled on the football field and basketball court, showcasing not only his athletic talent but also his dedication and teamwork. Beyond sports, Elijah’s personality shined in his love for dancing and being goofy, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His greatest joy was spending time with his younger brothers, Noah and Jaxon, playing video games and creating cherished memories together. Elijah is preceded in death by his beloved great-grandparents Lorraine Smith, William E Smith, Ronald and Delores Watson, and Timothy Hayes, Karen Parker.
He is survived by his loving mother, Angela Smith; devoted brothers, Noah and Jaxon Desilva, his grandparents, Jackie Watson, Sammye Hayes, Gary Smith and Debbie Willis. Aunts Kenya Smith, Ashley Smith, Jalesa (Caymen) Slaughter and Ivy Odom. Uncles Joey (Gabby) Freitas Jr. ,Gary Jr. and Josh Smith. Cousins Isaiah, Isaac, Don Jr., Madison, Makenzie, Macie, Zoey, Tristan, and Savannah, extended family Jason Desilva, Tyler Hayes, Roxanne(Rick) Bushaw, Heather Dorman, Travis Smith, Justin Smith, Ashley Smith, Harold Smith, Lori Smith, Rodney Smith, Justin (Lacy) Bushaw, Brandon Bushaw, Rusty (Vicky) Watson, Shawn (Rachel ) Watson, Dwayne (Jennifer )Watson, Audra (Dennis) Libertoski and many cousins whom he held close in his heart. Plus so many more, all loved him dearly.
Elijah’s love, humor, and energy will forever be missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A celebration of Elijah’s life will be held on Tuesday evening January 7th from 6 -8 pm with Funeral and Burial to follow next day Wednesday January 8th at 2pm, both located at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller TX. All who knew and loved Elijah are invited to join us in honoring his incredible life and spirit.
