Elizabeth (Betty) Louise Rieder, 87, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away on April 4, 2019.
Betty was born and raised in Macclenny, FL, as the third of six children. She married Kenneth Jay Rieder in 1955 and began her career as a Navy wife.
Betty was a homemaker and mother of four. She loved being a Navy wife, but even more so loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her passion, as were her love for her church and the love she had for Jesus Christ.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Jay, her parents, Effie Louise and Charles Marshall Jones, her sister Wanda Jacobs, and her brothers Buddy, Norman, and Bobby Jones.
SURVIVORS: children Elizabeth Pratt, Kenneth Rieder, Jr., Kimberly (Ed) Crater, and Robert Rieder; grandchildren Kelly (Chris) Murphy, Kevin (Brittany) Pratt, Kathleen (Nick) Hebert, Alison (David) Bayard, Jennifer (Wes) Combs, Michele Crater, and Kaitlyn Rieder; great-grandchildren Archer, Max, and Oliver Pratt, David Bayard, and Levi Murphy; brother Barry (Betty Ann) Jones; and many other loving family and friends.
The family wishes to extend special thanks and gratitude to the staff of Grand Brook Memory Care of Grapevine and Anchor of Hope Hospice for the love and care they provided for Betty and the family.
