Elizabeth Anne Hardy

December 21, 1950 — January 21, 2024

Elizabeth “Anne” Hardy, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at a local hospital with her family by her side.

Anne was born to Lyman and Betty (Swift) York in Sherman, Texas. She was one of three siblings. She graduated from Van Alstyne High School in 1969 and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Texas Christian University in 1973. She met her husband, Doyle Hardy, at an ice cream shop during a singles group outing at their church, that was the beginning of a love affair that would span 47 years. Anne was known for her kindness, compassion, generosity, grace, strength and so much more. She really did epitomize the fruits of the spirit.

Anne was preceded in death by her father, Lyman, and her grandparents.

She is survived by her loving husband, Doyle Hardy; mother, Betty York; sister, Debbie (Scott) Malany; brother Larry (Leslie); her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and various family and friends.
