September 20, 1920 — June 20, 2014

GRAPEVINE -- Elizabeth Jean Plut, 93, passed Friday, June 20, 2014, to be with her husband and dancing partner, Ferd. Family and friends were present at her bedside during her final days.
Memorial service: 7 p.m. Monday, June 30, at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine.
Elizabeth "Betty" was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sept. 2, 1920, to William and Zerena Weir. She graduated from Shore High School in Euclid, Ohio, in 1939. In August 1940 she married Ferdinand "Ferd" Plut, who preceded her in death in 1991.
Elizabeth and Ferd operated the Dun-Rovin mobile home park and sales businesses in North Kingsville, Ohio, until retirement to Mission, Texas. They enjoyed travelling with Airstream caravans. She enjoyed golfing, round-dancing and ceramics. She became a professional-level ceramicist, creating exquisitely painted porcelain dolls and masks and teaching the art to others before moving to Grapevine in 2002. Elizabeth was the matriarch in several local sewing and quilting bees, etc. She will be sorely missed by many supportive friends.
