Ellen Pauline Blythe

December 30, 1922 — April 13, 2022

Ellen Pauline Davidson Blythe, age 99, born December 30, 1922 in Houlka Mississippi and passed away April 13, 2022 in Keller, Texas.

She was born to Allie Jane Saxon and William Lester Davidson. Pauline grew up in the Mississippi Delta near Greenville.

She had two most significant relationships in her life. The first was her public profession of faith in the Spring of 1938 where she began her walk on the path of Christian love and service. The second began as an indirect result of the dedication of two faithful servants of the Lord, Mr. B.J. Powell and his wife Mary, who invited servicemen from Greenville Air Force Base to church. During one church service in 1942 she met her future husband while singing in the choir. She met Carl R. Blythe while he was stationed at Greenville Flight training school. They were married soon after WWII and enjoyed almost 58 happy years together.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl; parents, Lester and Allie Davidson; three sisters, Mary Jane Porter, Thelma Hogue and Halovee Perchan and one brother, Jack Davidson.

Pauline is survived by her two sons, Carl Blythe and Glenn Blythe.
