Elsie Mae Moore

September 22, 1925 — October 6, 2018

Elsie Mae Moore, 93, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 6, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born September 22, 1925 to Robert Efie Myrick and Linnie Mae Shugart in Prarieville, Texas. Elsie was a resident of Grapevine for 62 years and lived in the same house where she raised her five children.

Elsie was not only a home maker but also a nurse’s aide at Grapevine Hospital for 22 years until she retired. She was an excellent seamstress, had a green thumb and could grow anything. She also made the best fried chicken! Elsie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Elsie is survived by her sons, Douglas Moore and wife Carolyn, Billy Moore and wife Jan, Hoyt Moore and wife Beth, Ted Moore and wife Ditas; daughter, Sandra Sackville; grandchildren, Scott Moore, Shelly Oldham and husband Wes, Michelle Mewbourn, James Moore and wife Jennifer, Renee’ Longoria and husband Robert, Shirley Moiles, John Howell, Donna Moore, Holly Moore, Ceth Carlson and wife Melissa, Steven Sackville and wife Connie, Dawn Hall and husband Bill; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers; 3 sisters; son-in-law, Richard Sackville; and daughter-in-law, Windy Moore.
