GRANBURY -- Elton Wayne Clay, better know as “Butch or “Pa”, peacefully passed into eternal sleep after complications from Pneumonia and Melanoma at 6:00 pm Tuesday.
Service: In honor of his wishes, the family will hold only a brief graveside service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 22, at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville.
Memorials: Please make donations to Ronald McDonald House or the American Melanoma Foundation in lieu of flowers.
We believe he is now hunting, fishing, ranting at the Cowboys and Rangers, and playing dominoes with family who have preceded him in death, including parents Olan and Laverne Clay; siblings Jerry Lynn Garrett, Peggy and Elton Barnes; and close in-laws Evert and Lloyd Harvey.
After serving in Vietnam as a Navy Sea-bee, he worked at Bell Helicopter and as a carpenter.
He will be gravely missed, never forgotten, and forever loved by all.
Survivors: He is survived by wife Novella Clay; children Michael Clay, Dawn Terry and Santos Naranjo; grandchildren Brandon Seward, Russell and Victoria Clay, Cheyenne and Gus Terry; and great grandchild Bradlee Seward; as well as David Naranjo, Ben Harrison, and Josie Naranjo. Surviving siblings are Brenda and Jerry Taylor, Randy Clay; and close in-laws Grace Harvey, Ellen and Jim Willett, Tom and Cathy Harvey, and Freeman and Lori Harvey as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, plus his two favorite dogs, Taz and Tex.
