Eric Beene’ was born on July 3, 1959, in Homer, Louisiana, and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He dedicated his life to his children and family, and was known for his infectious spirit and unwavering sense of humor.
A proud graduate of Argo High School and a cherished alumnus of Grambling State University, Eric was not only an academic achiever but also the life of the party. He was widely known as the charismatic and unforgettable mascot of Grambling State University, where he brought joy to countless fans.
Eric was a devoted father, to his son, Eric Beene Jr and his daughter Ariel Beene. He was a dedicated grandfather, embracing this role with boundless love and enthusiasm. He had a knack for making everyone laugh and had an endless passion for dancing, a talent that brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of witnessing his moves.
As a community man, Eric touched the hearts of many and left a lasting impact on the lives he encountered. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Preceded in death by his father Floyd Beene. Mother Arie Lee Wise Beene. Sisters Ida Jane Beene Dailey Beverly Ann Beene, Annie Claire Beene, wearing Ruthie Lee Beene Thompson.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 9224 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134 (Christian Faith Baptist Church ) on Friday, October 27th. We invite family and friends to join us in honoring his memory.
