Eric A. Jenkins

Eric A. Jenkins was born September 10, 2001 in Hampton, Virginia to Arthur Jenkins and Erica Buffington. From his birth, Eric was smart, inquisitive, and had a passion for learning. He was a student at Harmony Science Academy in Euless, TX where he excelled academically, had a passion for technology, and aspired to be a computer engineer. Eric is an honorary student at Martel College at Rice University where he wanted to attend; as well as an honorary member of ARUBA, the Association of Rice University Black Alumni. An adventurous young man, this was just one of the things on his bucket list. Eric also desired to skydive and graduate from camp iHope, both of which he accomplished.

Eric was known for being kind, gracious, humble, and giving. He truly possessed a servant’s heart, even during his final days at his earthly home.

Eric went to be with our Lord on Friday, July 21, 2017. He is survived by his father and mother, Arthur Jenkins and Erica Buffington; brother, Nicholas Jenkins; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Johnson; uncles, Eric Buffington, Cory and Christopher Johnson; his paternal grandmother; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly.

Eric was one of a kind and will be missed by all who loved him. We take comfort in knowing we will see him again.
