Erik Dwite Prock

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Erik Dwite Prock will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst, TX 76053. Visitation is at 3 p.m. with the service a 4 p.m. in the chapel.
Mr. Prock died suddenly and unexpectedly May 11, 2023 at home in Bedford, Tx.
Born July 28, 1965, in La Junta, Colorado, he spent his younger years in Murfreesboro, TN., where he attended public schools. In 1981 his family moved to McAllen, Tx.
Mr. Prock graduated from McAllen High School, and Texas State Technological College after which he lived in Houston, later moving St. Louis, Mo. While in St. Louis. Mr. Prock graduated from Missouri College with a degree in digital animation. Mr. Prock returned to Texas in 2014 and was currently employed as an autocad draftsman at Thompson Pipe Group - Pressure in Grand Prairie, TX.
Mr. Prock enjoyed 3-D puzzles, rock music, Halloween, theatrical endeavors, smoking meat, and hanging out with friends. In 1980 at 13, he won 3rd Place in a KIZZ look-alike contest in Nashville, Tn.
Mr. Prock is survived by his mother, Joyce Huffman Prock of Bedford; a sister Leslie Prock Norton and her husband. Andrew Norton, a niece Jaylyn Norton, all of Bedford; an aunt, Barbara Smith of Lewisville; cousins Mark Smith of Corinth; and Chase of Co., and Blake Smith Ft. Worth.
Cousins Dana Huffman and Melanie Bullock, Jack Huffman, Caroline Huffman and an aunt, Donna Huffman all of Richardson.
His life-long friends Bill Fitch of Kerrville and Houston, Dave Lawson of North Carolina, and Jon Hawley of Washington State.
Others include Kim Moffat, his first wife, of Edinburg, Tx.; Hope Dodson, his second wife and her children, Carmen and Truman Binder, of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dwite Prock; his paternal grandparents, Curtis Jackson Prock and Eveline Barber Prock Hall; his maternal grandparents, James Jackson Huffman and Florence Elnora Bolin Huffman; Uncles Jack, Joe, and James E. Huffman and cousin Jason Huffman.
