Ernest Lee Anderson, resident of Burleson, passed away on April 30,
2023 at Huguley Hospital at the age of 76 years.
Ernest was born in Ft. Worth on February 4, 1947 to Lindsey and Annie
Anderson. He was 18 years old when he was drafted by the US Army in
which he served as a cook. After the war ended, he became a mechanic
for the military while serving in the Army Reserves. He retired from the
military as a Chief Warrant Officer Third Class. His favorite pastime in
retirement was woodworking and home improvement projects. He was
everybody’s favorite handyman. He could build, fix or repair anything. He
never said no when others needed him. He gave selflessly to his family
and friends. One of the most memorable things about Ernest is his eye
rolling, head shaking “dad jokes”. He had a huge arsenal of jokes that he
freely shared with everyone he encountered.
Ernest is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nita Anderson, his two
children Lindsey Anderson and Linda Marichal as well as his Bonus Son
James Dyer. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Anderson and his
