Ernest Andres Pujals

January 30, 1962 — August 19, 2016

Ernest Andres Pujals, 53, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016.
Memorial Service: 10:00 am Saturday at Gateway Church, 7501 Davis Blvd, North Richland Hills. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, August 26, at Lucas Funeral Home 137 E. Hill Street, Keller.
Ernest Pujals was born on January 30, 1962 to Anna and Ernesto Pujals in Evanston, Illinois. Growing up he was fond of every sport, especially football. When he was nine years old he would go out to the Bears stadium in the freezing cold and would return punts with a smile on his face when the punters practiced. Throughout his childhood he always had a dog that was loved immensely, especially his boxer, Roxy. When he was about eleven his parents were divorced and he and his mother moved to Florida to be closer to family. He developed his friendly and extremely social ways in middle school and high school. His friends were always baffled by the way he could approach and talk to the ladies. Throughout this time he established key relationships that helped him create his foundation on what a real friend is like. The key principle he always spoke of was having each other’s back. This means being there for each other no matter the circumstances and helping each other fight their battles. It was this guiding principle that made Ernest into who he is today; a warm, loving, golden hearted man who cared for everyone he talked to, everyone he taught, everyone he spent time with.
After high school he moved to Texas to study at Dallas Baptist University where the foundation for his faith was established. He studied business and multi media while working at many different jobs, such as being a waiter at the Magic Time Machine, and being an airport conductor. He then found the Church on the Rock in Rockwall Texas, where he began to invest into the church. Not only financially but also with his time and effort, where he was involved in the college group. Eventually he went to the branch church, Church on the Rock North, where he was a care group leader. He then formed Alliance International, an organization striving for humanitarian aid and missions for Cuba in 1992. He then made a Christian TV show called Alliansa where it was broadcasted to many countries in South America where he reached millions of people. During this time he was married to Marta Harding and had his three kids, Joshua, Josiah & Juliette. In about 2004 he moved to Flower Mound where he attended Gateway Church. In 2010 he got a divorce and began to fight harder that he had his whole life. He fought for his kids, he fought for his future, and he fought for God. He began to get his feet under him and make a better life for them. After four years he found the love he had always been looking for, Molly. He fell in love with Molly and her children and decided to make her and her children a part of the family and married Molly in December of 2015.
It was in this time of his life where he attained happiness that was never grasped before. He was actively helping with the single parents ministry, working with the community, helping people wherever he could. And above it all he was pursuing God with his heart and continually put Him above all things. He fought for his children. He helped his eldest son pursue his dream of studying at Hillsong International Leadership College, he helped his second son stay on the path towards manhood, he looked after his younger daughter and made sure she had anything she wanted, and he was the father that Molly’s children deserved. Most of all he showed Molly the ways of true love, love with God and love with a Godly man. Because of his massive impact on everyone in his life he will not die, but forever live on through the people he has touched. He is the example of what all men, all fathers, all sons should strive to be. He was a Godly man with a heart of gold, a spirit that never gives up, and a soul of compassion.
