Ernestine Hofmann Moore was born August 26, 1938 in Shamrock, TX and passed June 10, 2015 at her home in Keller, TX. She met J. Weldon Moore in the McMurry college band and they married July 2, 1960. She graduated with a B.A. in Biology and continued her education for medical technology certification through the American Society of Clinical Patholgists. She took great pride in her work and had a strong attention to detail, often correcting the doctors and keeping them in line. Ernestine has three children whom she dearly loved. She often challenged them to progress in anything they pursued, not accepting less than personal best. Yet she showed grace and love in times that might not otherwise dictate it. She loved her grandchildren unabashedly, doing unconventional things like midnight swims that helped build their bond with her. Ernestine was an amazing vocalist, filling her home with music and singing in the church choir. She was a brilliant debater, and enjoyed learning and applying information. She was someone of great integrity.
She is survived by her husband, J Weldon Moore, her children J Moore and his wife Renetta, Mike Moore and his wife Lisa, and Kathy Maltchev and her husband George, and grandchildren Miranda, James, Meagan, Macy, Michael, Molly, Ian, and Elijah. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Lu Smithson and two sisters-in-law, Brenda Hofmann and Lillian Hofmann. Preceding her in death are her parents, Clifford and Vivian Dale Hofmann, and brothers Fred Hofmann and Tommy Hofmann.
