Erwin Josef Muenzberg

Erwin Muenzberg, 85, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst Texas.

Erwin was born September 18th, 1934, in Neisse Germany which is now Nysa Poland. He was the son of Elisabeth Muenzberg. He and his beautiful wife Frieda immigrated to the United States in 1959. He began his career as a machinist in Montgomery Illinois for Anchor Brush. In 1981 he was transferred to Texas and continued to work until 1989. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, woodworking, sausage making, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Frieda; Mother Elisabeth; two sisters, Ursula and Helga; and brother Georg.

Survivors: sister, Evi, daughter, Christine Farnham and husband, Scott; son, Larry Muenzberg and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Trevyr Farnham, Jack Farnham (wife, Sara), Kyle Muenzberg (wife, Bianca) and Cody Muenzberg; great grandchildren, Brady Muenzberg and Dax Farnham; and many nieces and nephews in the US and Germany.
