NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Mae Brouer, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, after a battle with a body that gave out long before her spirit. She was surrounded by her family.
Service: A celebration of life memorial will start at 1 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst.
Mae was born in Aurora, Neb., on Feb. 13, 1919, to Carl Alfred Petersen and Anna Sophia Petersen. She married Snig Brouer on Oct. 4, 1940, and they had 59 wonderful years together. Her family was the light of her life, with the Texas Rangers coming in a close second.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Snig Brouer.
Survivors: Sons, Jerry Brouer, Blue Brouer and wife, Lorri, and Kevin Brouer; daughters, Mary Yates and husband, Charles, and Judy Pesnell and husband, Gary; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and best friend, Christine Martin.
