Ethel Ann Haesly

April 26, 1939 — July 10, 2018

Ethel Ann Price Haesly was born on April 26, 1939, to Ella Faye O’Keefe Price and Willis Traylor Price at Worley Hospital in Pampa, TX . She was baptized at the First Presbyterian Church in Pampa, TX. She grew up on a ranch outside of Pampa where she rode horses, helped her father with cattle drives, and learned to cook and garden. She is survived by her older brother, Michael Price of Denver, CO and her younger sister, Patty Steed of Amarillo, TX. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1957. She went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Education from North Texas State College (now the University of North Texas) in 1961. She obtained her lifetime teaching certificate from the Texas Eduction Agency on June 2, 1961. She was subsequently awarded her Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Texas at Dallas. She loved teaching and her students meant so much to her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Angela Gail Ledbetter and Ingrid Kristen Kohlmorgen, MD, both of Euless, TX.
She had many hobbies and interests, but foremost was her talent for gardening which she inherited from her mother. Her garden was full of flowers and a variety of other plants. She had vegetable gardens where she grew tomatoes, onions, okra, rhubarb, green beans, radishes, bell peppers, and squash. Music was a passion for her. She played the piano and sang in choir, most recently as a member of the adult choir at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, TX. She loved to play cards, especially Shanghai. She had a knack for making others think she was losing the game, and then she would pull out a win in the end and smile sweetly as she did it. She loved arts and crafts as well as photography. She spent many hours creating billboards for her classrooms during her teaching years. She indulged her love of photography in her later years as she travelled the world with friends and family. She explored Canada with her parents, culminating in a trip to the Calgary Stampede. She travelled to Florida, Kansas, Colorado, and Arizona, as well as France, Belgium, Spain, Mexico, and China with her longtime friend, Jerry Jones.
She is further survived by her four grandchildren whom she loved, Kara Michele Ledbetter of Fort Worth, TX, Grant Patrick Ledbetter of Euless, TX, and Hans Reimar Kohlmorgen and Emmi Eleonore Kohlmorgen, both of Euless, TX. She is additionally survived by many nieces and nephews who were also a joy to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
