Eugene "Gene" Buxton

Eugene “Gene” Buxton, age 71, born January 25, 1950 in Detroit Michigan to Dorothy and Vincent Buxton. He passed away after a two-year battle with cancer on October 5, 2021 in Keller Texas.
He served his country proudly in the United States Navy and in the National Guard. He was a faithful volunteer with Legacy Boxer Rescue and fostered boxers in need of forever families.
In 1990 he moved to Texas from Michigan and worked several jobs in the medical field before retiring in 2010. Gene enjoyed hunting, fly fishing and officiated Little League baseball games for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mac and Marie.
Gene is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter and son-in-law, Carryann and Timothy Stump; son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Shaunna Buxton; grandchildren, Abby, Brooks and Lane; beloved boxer, Miley and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Cancer Research Institute or Legacy Boxer Rescue or Three Oaks Foundation.
