Eula Marie Mitchell

Eula Marie Mitchell passed away after a short illness on Thursday,
January 13, 2024, at the age of 83. Eula was born in Muleshoe,
Texas. On April 18, 1940.
She was preceded in death by her Husband of 61 years Henry
Mitchell, youngest daughter Tracie Angelly and son-in-law Karl
Rabalais. She is survived by Children; Beth Rabalais; Clifford
Mitchell and wife Susan: Michael Mitchell and wife Mary; thirteen
grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and two great-great
grandchildren.
During her early years she lived in many places in Texas and
Arizona. Graduating High School from Brewer in 1958. She was
married to Henry in March of 1959. They lived in Arizona for a short
time, then moved to Watauga to start their family. They purchased
their home on Shipp Drive in Watauga in 1963 and lived there for
the duration of their lives.
Eula raised 4 children of her own, and tended to anyone else that
needed some help. When her Children were young, she served on
the PTA. Always willing to help in any capacity. She was a devoted
member of Watauga United Methodist Church, serving as Treasurer
for many years, helping in all areas.
She was a wonderful cook, making the best fried chicken,
thanksgiving dressing and deserts to please the crowds. All the kids
had their favorites, German Chocolate Cake, Chocolate pie, Banana
Pudding, and Rice Crispy Treats are just a few of the favorites.
Rarely seen without a smile, helpful word, and a hug. She was
generally upbeat and never complained. However, she was also very
protective of our crew, and no one wanted to get the German blood
boiling!
We enjoyed our time with her and she will be sincerely missed
