Eula Thomas

Eula Elizabeth Thweatt Thomas was born on July 3, 1923. She was the youngest child of Richard Lee and Clara Jane Thweatt. She grew up in Grapevine and joined First Baptist Church in 1941 and was baptized by Reverend E. A. Lund.

After graduating from Grapevine High School she began working in Fort Worth for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she was a long distance supervisor for eight years.

In 1945, she met H. E. (Tommy) Thomas after he was discharged from the U. S. Navy. They were married in 1946. Tommy worked at General Dynamics until 1960 and then he and Eula started Appliance Service Company and took a Whirlpool dealership here in Grapevine. Tommy & Eula worked together in their business until they retired in 1989. Tommy passed away in 1991.

Eula is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Ann White and husband Michael and Clara Elaine Martin and husband David. One grandson, Thomas Michael Christy.
