Evelyn Frances Hudson

Evelyn Frances (Karr) Hudson was born on January 18, 1928 in Bedford, Texas and she passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Friendship Baptist Church, located at 1248 W. Hurst Blvd., Hurst. The visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. before the funeral service. A committal service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Evelyn was the 1945 salutatorian graduate of Handley High School. She met the love of her life; Lloyd Freeman Hudson, in 1947 and they were married two weeks later. She and her husband had been members of Friendship Baptist of Hurst since 1948. She was a committed and faithful Christian and had a deep love for her church. The family requests memorial donations be made in her honor to the Friendship Baptist Church Mission Fund.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Freeman Hudson; father, Walker James Karr; mother, Ivah Belle (Caudle) Karr Niesler; brother, Charles Karr and daughter-in-law, Judith Hudson. She is survived by her son, Dana Hudson of Grandview; daughter, Brenda Hudson Guess and husband, Charles of Richland Hills; grandchildren: Chad Morton and wife, Britt, Jennifer Hudson Ridlehoover and husband, Jody, Greg Hudson and wife, Tomi, Shawney Hudson Hambrick and husband, Mike, Kerry Hudson Hargrove and husband, Chris, Gabriel Guess and wife, Michelle, and Sarah Guess Thompson and husband, Curtis; 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
