Faye Marie Brown

Faye Marie Brown was born Faye Marie Beasley on April 13,1940. Her grandfather, John Anderson, was one of the first cattleman in the Panhandle of Texas in the late 1880s. She grew up on the family farm and ranch helping with the farming, as well as, the cattle. She graduated from Tulia High School. She met her husband Ray at the Bob Watson CPA firm in Tulia. Ray entered the army on June 2nd of 1957. They were married in 1959 on October 11th in the Vigo Park Church. After Ray was discharged from the Army on June 1st 1959 both attended Wayland Baptist College, and participated in several mission trips to the interior of Mexico. While studying at Wayland Faye was a double major in music and accounting. One year later their first child, Linda, was born on Faye’s birthday April 13, 1970. They moved to Dallas a year later and had their second child, James, in 1972.

Shortly after James’s birth she enrolled in Dallas Baptist University to finish her degree in accounting. She worked for several CPA firms in the Dallas area and as an auditor for the Defense Audit Agency. She worked in the business office of Dallas Baptist University and later for the IRS in Dallas.
In 1979 she had her third child, Christy. She retired from the IRS in 1998 and went to work for her husband’s CPA firm in Keller, TX until 2018. During this time, she attended First Baptist Dallas and helped with the Special Needs Children’s class. She is survived by her husband and three children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
