Felipe “Philip” Agas passed away on October 15, 2021 after a brief but brutal battle with lung cancer.
Philip was born on August 23, 1932, in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines. The youngest of eight children, he graduated with a Law degree at the University of the Philippines in 1957. He was married to Nenita Garcia in February 1961 and together they raised three children. After retiring from his work at the US Naval Investigative Service, where he served for more than 25 years, they moved from Quezon City, Philippines to Kalamazoo, Michigan. Later, they joined and lived with their only daughter, Dina, and her family in Grapevine, Texas.
Philip was an avid fisherman, a book lover and a weekend poet.
Philip is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nenita; daughter, Dina and husband, Ceryl Medua; son, Lou and wife, Vee Agas; grandchildren, Carina and Diego Medua, Luisa and Andrea Agas; and numerous loving family and friends; and 2 granddogs, Bella and Taro.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son Pipo Agas; his late parents, Trinidad and Saturnina Agas; his brothers, Pedring, Banong and Oriong, and his sisters, Garet, Rose, Sising and Loring.
A funeral mass will be held 10 am, Monday, October 25 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Bedford, Texas. He will be cremated on October 26.
