Fleta Mavis Henslee

Fleta Mavis Henslee, 94, passed away on the 22nd of March in 2019 in Burleson, Tx. She was born on July 16th in 1924 to Earl Marbut and Vancie Long-Marbut.

Fleta grew up in Covington Texas.

She was involved in American Legion

Fleta married to Ollie Robertson and had one son, Jimmy Robertson. Fleta lost Ollie in WWII. Fleta then married Richard Eakin, they had one son named Dempsey Eakin. Richard passed in 1957. In later years she remarried to Pierce Henslee who already had two daughters. She enjoyed playing bingo at nursing homes and making ceramics. Also loved having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren visit her.

Fleta was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Vancie Marbut, siblings Norflet, Marvin and Natalie.

Fleta is survived by son Jimmy Robertson and son Dempsey (Donna) Eakin of Burleson, TX; her brother Doyle (Mary) Marbut of Alvarado, TX and sister Jerry Sadler of Hurst, TX; Her grandchildren Kevin Robertson and Richard Eakin; her numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews and other relatives/friends.

A memorial service will be held at Tye Cemetery at 2 pm on March 26th, 2019. A visitation will be held at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home (518 w. Johnson Ave. Burleson, TX) from 6 pm to 8 pm on March 25th, 2019.
