Flo Kleiber

February 20, 1924 — May 24, 2013

HURST -- Flo M. Kleiber, received by her Savior, Jesus Christ, and welcomed to heaven by her husband, William A. Kleiber, passed from this life Friday, May 24, 2013, in East Wenatchee, Wash.

Memorials: Daughters Patricia Ann and Norma Jean will celebrate their mother's life with a memorial service in the fall at a date to be determined and announced at that time. Arrangements are being coordinated by Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst and Telford's Funeral Home in East Wenatchee, Wash.

Mrs. Kleiber was the mother of four: the oldest William A Kleiber Jr. predeceased his parents; son, Robert Marsh Kleiber of Texas; daughter and beloved caregiver, Patricia Ann Lynn and her husband, Dr. Richard Lynn, of East Wenatchee, Wash.; and daughter, Norma Jean Kleiber of Texas; as well as Paula Slease whom she claimed as her bonus daughter. She was grandmother to seven and great-grandmother of 12.

Born in Rochester, Minn., in 1924, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Bill Kleiber, and spent the next 60 years as a military wife, establishing homes for her family, while her husband served his country in both the Air Force and the FAA. She was very actively involved in ESA, a philanthropic sorority of which she was a member for 60 years. While living in Hurst, after Bill's retirement, she was a steady presence and an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Following the death of her husband in August of 2000, Mrs. Kleiber moved to East Wenatchee, Wash., where she was embraced and enriched by the lives of her daughter, Pat, and son-in-law, Dr. Richard Lynn, and their daughter, Allison, son, Scott and their children. She also enjoyed the 45-year friendship of Marj Lynn and the many people of her adopted community who blessed her with kindness and friendship.
