Floyd David Ladyman, age 84, passed away suddenly at his home in Watauga TX on August 2, 2021 after a short hospital stay. “Come to me ye who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest”, saith our Lord (Matthew 11:28)
He left behind a Daughter, Karen (Scott) Kucinsky and Son, Jeff (Sharon) Ladyman, Grandchildren, Brooke (Paul), Joshua (Shania), Kristy (Taylor), and Jared (Kayla) who blessed him with 5 great-grandchildren so far. He is also survived by two sisters; Nell Leonberger and Bonnie Sue Gross along with a slew of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other extended family across the US.
Anyone who knew Floyd “Dave” knew he followed the Lord and loved people! He was a Deacon and Scoutmaster at Midway Baptist Church in southwestern Michigan where he settled his family for many years. However, he also lived in Missouri, Wisconsin, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas,
Mexico, Colorado, and Florida. He enjoyed fishing, camping, golf, wildlife and collecting foxes. His love of travel and work in the die cast industry took him to Tennessee where he was Southwest Regional Sales Manager with D&C Sales out of Ohio, putting over a million road miles under his belt until retirement.
He was an avid photographer and leaves behind a bazillion photo albums; wonderful memories of his extensive travels and time spent with Family, Clients, and Friends.
Dave had just begun a journey of serious health problems. He joined his beloveds, Reba (Shelton) Ladyman and Donna (Holmes) Ladyman, along with many family members who went before him, including his brother, Arvel Earl “Sonny” Ladyman and sister, Mary Jane Kathleen Wagster. We know it
was a day of rejoicing! He is at peace and we are comforted knowing he is in his Heavenly Home.
A family memorial will take place in September. His wish was for his remains to be cremated and interred at Brown Chapel Cemetery in his childhood home of Broseley Missouri near his Mom and Dad; Floyd Arvel Ladyman and Nettie Jane (Damron) Ladyman.
