HURST -- Hurst-- Frances McMullin Averett passed away Friday, July 27, 2012.
Funeral: 1:00 Friday, August 3, 2012, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, 76053.
Visitation: Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joy Winsome Class at Shady Oaks Baptist Church, 1336 Cavender Dr., Hurst, TX 76053
Frances was born in Cleburne, TX on February 18, 1919 to Walter and Ellen Hubbard. She lived in the Ft. Worth area her entire adult life. Known as "Nanny" by her family, she was happiest surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and played a mean game of 42 (dominos). Her dedication to her Lord, family, and friends was evident in her everyday life; and her love, warmth, kindness, and beauty will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was a longtime member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church and served her church family faithfully.
Survivors: Daughter, Donna Carruth, Son, Robert McMullin and wife Bobbie; Sister, Jean Cooper and husband Jack; Grandchildren, Robyn Whitney and husband Eric, Staci Frost and husband Bill, and Todd Carruth and wife Julie; great-grandchildren, Casey and husband Gerry, Colin, Josh, Trevor, Tanner and Campbell; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Payton and Tate.
