Frances Joan Farley, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on January 18th, 2021 in Keller, Texas. Fran will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandma to all that knew and loved her. She was born on October 5th, 1933 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Albert and Bertha Ritchel. Fran was an elementary school teacher for forty years. She was a devout Christian who loved God and was an active member in her local church, serving on numerous boards and in elected roles. After retirement from teaching her joy was spending as much time as possible with her four grandsons and travelling the nation and the world with her husband Ray. Fran is survived by her three children: Randal (Tania) Farley of San Diego, CA, Rhonda Farley of Watauga, TX, and Robyn Farley McCleery of Little Elm, TX. Her four grandsons: Kevin Farley of Hanford, CA, Brian (Hailey) Farley of San Rafael, CA, Mitchell McCleery of Grapevine, TX, and Lucas McCleery of West Point, NY, and great-granddaughter Harper Jean Farley of San Rafael, CA. Her brothers: William (Rosie) Ritchel of Wauchula, FL and Bruce Ritchel of Shelton, CT, and sister Linda (David) Coles of Shelton, CT.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ramon in 2017. The Memorial Service will be held in March at the Roswell First Church of the Nazarene in Roswell, NM. Inurnment will follow as plans are finalized. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bonita Park Campground of the Church of the Nazarene in Angus, NM ( https://bonitapark.com/get-involved/donate ).
