Frances Oleta Trigg was born August 20, 1937 in Cortez, Colorado, to William (W.O.) & Gladys McGechie. She moved to Colleyville, TX in 1953 where she met John Robert Trigg. She graduated from Grapevine HS in 1955, where Johnny was Mr. GHS and Oleta was Homecoming Queen their senior year. She married Johnny Trigg on Dec. 23, 1955 in Grapevine, TX.
Oleta was a member of the Colleyville Church of Christ, the Grapevine Church of Christ, and the Gilmer Church of Christ.
Oleta was a Homemaker, who lovingly raised her family in Colleyville, TX. She was active in church, teaching Bible class, and led the food ministry for people in need at the Colleyville Church of Christ. She went on several Gospel Campaigns to Newport News, VA, Spokane, WA, Rome, NY, & New Orleans, LA. She worked at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home as their receptionist for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Gladys McGechie and her husband of 54 years, John Robert Trigg.
She is survived by her sister, Dorris McMeans, and by her sister-in-law, Mavy Nell Wright.
She is survived by her son, Randy Trigg, and his wife, Jeanine, by her daughter, Leisa Wheeler, and her husband, John.
She is also survived by four grandchildren: Sarah Trigg; Chad Wheeler and his wife, Jaime; Kyle Wheeler and his wife, Krista; & Elizabeth McBroom and her husband Landon.
She is survived by her niece Amy Houlihan and her husband Mike and their son Connor; nephew, Scott McMeans; niece Katie McMeans and her children; Tony, William, & Robert; and niece, Wendy Frazier and her husband Brent and their children, Matthew, Zackary, & Joseph.
She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Xavier Wheeler, Lexi Wheeler, Mercedes Wheeler, Kase Wheeler, Kopeland Wheeler, Bodi McBroom, & Boston McBroom.
And a host of friends whose lives were blessed by her beautiful spirit of hospitality, love, and friendship.
