Francis Ponce Barber III passed away on May 16, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was 62 years of age.
Visitation: 9:30 to 10:30 am Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Fellowship of the Parks in North Fort Worth. Service: 10:30 am Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Fellowship of the Parks in North Fort Worth. Burial: 1:15 pm Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Ponce was born on September 18, 1958 in Niceville, Florida. He graduated from Gordon Lee Memorial High School, and attended Carson-Newman University and Arizona State University as a Track and Field Pole Vaulter. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Science from University of the State of New York. Ponce proudly served his country in the United States Air Force (6 years), United States Air National Guard (12 years), and the Federal Aviation Administration (20 years). He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, golfer, lover of playing the guitar, and bad dad joke teller (haha).
