Frank Hatten passed away Monday, February 22, 2021, at Medical City Dallas in Dallas, Texas.
Frank was born September 13, 1965 in Monroe, Louisiana, son of Edward Lee and Lucille Brooks Hatten. He did many things in his life from laying bricks, to managing grocery stores, to being an ordained preacher, and finished his career as a route trainer and route reliever with Mrs. Baird’s Bakery. No matter what his profession, he was constantly focused on his love for working with and serving people and for being the best at whatever he did.
He was a generous man with a servant heart who never met a stranger. Even in his death, he still found a way to give to others by being an organ donor. We know he blessed the lives of 13 people and counting.
Those left to continue to share his light include his wife of 36 years, Karen Hatten; his daughter, Marie Dawson; mother, Lucile Brooks Hatten; beloved sister, Lucretia Shipp; brother, Alvin Hatten; nephew, Philip Gray; his great-nephew, Logan Cortes Gray; and many other extended family members.
Frank was an amazing man with a generous heart. He will be missed terribly. The world is a bit dimmer without him, but we know that his gifts will live on through the memories and stories we share.
