Franklin Delano Murphy

Franklin Delano Murphy, 89, joined his loving family with Jesus on October 31, 2022. Franklin was born on August 7, 1933 in Hall Summit, Louisiana to Charley and Ocie Murphy. After serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Mataco, Franklin moved to Fort Worth. He retired from a partnership Carpet Installation Business after 20 plus years. Franklin enjoyed working with wood and leather and was an excellent carpenter. For several years Franklin was an active member, teacher, and mentor at Beacon Baptist Church in Haltom City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Nelda Ann Cagle Murphy, a son Timothy Laine Murphy, a sister, Betty Hargrove and husband Bobby. He is survived by his son Darren Scott Murphy, a grandson, Darren Scott Murphy Jr., a sister, Patsy and husband Richard., a sister-in-law. Joyce Cagle, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of Texas, the American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
