NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Fred Conrad Hochreiter, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2013 with his family by his side. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Good Shepherd Catholic Community, 1000 Tinker Rd., Colleyville followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the church one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at DFW National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Wounded Warriors Foundation. Fred was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He graduated from PMC College at Chester, PA with a BS in General Engineering and graduate work at George Washington University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and later worked for 37 years with the National Weather Service. Fred enjoyed traveling, the outdoors and supporting the Washington Redskins. He also gave freely of himself as a volunteer with Grace and has attended Good Shepherd Catholic Community since 1994. Fred's true love and passion was his family and grandchildren in which he shared a lifetime of wonderful memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Louise Hochreiter and son-in-law, Mark Champlin. Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Irma Hochreiter; daughter, Brenda Jean Champlin of Bedford, TX; sons, Fred Hochreiter of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Michael Hochreiter of NRH, TX; daughter, Barbara Hochreiter and Randy of Richland Hills, TX; daughter, Maria Ann McGill and husband HA of Leesburg, VA; grandchildren, Shauna Hochreiter, Krista Champlin, Shannon Champlin, Rissa McGill, Cassie McGill and Chancelor McGill; sister, Mary Louise Rehring and husband Bill; brother, Conrad Hochreiter and wife Gloria and a large extended family.
