Frederick Earl Jones (76) of Burleson, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 24, 2023.
Frederick, also known as Fred and Freddie, was born January 3, 1947 in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Earl and Maxine Jones. He grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1964. Fred was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served from 1965 to April 1969 as a crew chief. He will be buried with full military honors. Fred worked for IBM for over 30 years and enjoyed working with computers and learning new technology. Fred had a strong Christian faith, and loved spending time with his family and friends, visiting the ocean, and playing golf every chance he got.
Fred is survived by his five children and their spouses, Kimberly and Benny, Shari and John, Zachariah, Whitney and Tim, and Kyle and Yevette. His sister Casandra and nephews also survive him.
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Maxine Jones and his oldest daughter, Tracy.
Fred’s wife, Zoe, passed away shortly after him on April 5, 2023.
Fred was a loving grandfather to several grandchildren and their spouses and many great-grandchildren, all of whom he was so proud of and adored immensely.
A memorial service will be held to honor him on Saturday, April 15th, at 2 pm at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson, TX 76028. A private burial will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on a different date with full military honors.
