NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Garland Wayne Dorsey, 77, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 11:00 AM Thursday At North Richland Hills Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
He was born on July 8, 1939, in Flat, Texas. One of four children of James and Glyn Dorsey. His family moved to Waco, Texas, where he was raised. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1957. Garland had a successful career in the printing industry and owned Golden Rule Printing in North Richland Hills until 2013. He was an active member of North Richland Hills Baptist Church and the Gideon's ministry.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Dorsey; his brother, Mike Dorsey of McGregor, TX; his children, DeAnn Mauk, Denise McFarland, James Dorsey and his 5 grandchildren.
