Garry Lynn Collins, 72 of Euless, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, peacefully in his sleep. He was born on November 4, 1952, in Waco, Texas.
Garry loved the outdoors. He was a proud Marine that loved hunting, fishing, and going to the gun range. You could often find Garry with his favorite dog Gracie Girl, throwing the ball and taking walks. He enjoyed watching history movies and documentaries. He loved playing games with family and friends. As much as he could, he always enjoyed traveling and going on grand adventures with Linda. Garry always supported Linda’s goal of collecting National Park Passport stamps. Garry loved Rick, his hunting buddy, the brother he chose. He will be missed by so many.
Garry is survived by his wife, Linda Chambless Collins; his daughters, Jennifer M. Collins and partner, Vanessa; Kristene Allen; and his son, Christopher Collins; his grandson, Jonathan Reynolds, wife Aubrey; his grandchildren, Andrew, Robert, Joey, Kenny, Cannon, Sara, Jessica, and Haley; his great grandson, Theodore “Teddy”; his brothers, Kieth Collins and Jim Ford and wife, Becky; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of close friends that became the family he chose.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim “Pop” and Bobbie “Nana” Ford; also by his sister, Karen Ford Cameron.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, in the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marc Lowrance officiating.
