GARY LEE JENKINS

Gary Lee Jenkins 72 of North Tazewell, Virginia, entered into eternal rest January 18, 2023, at his home in Burleson, Texas. A memorial service is currently pending. Gary was born January 1, 1951, in Jackson, Michigan to the late Bernard Erwin Jenkins and Gertrude Lucille Bowers Jenkins. Gary grew up in Munith, MI and graduated from Stockbridge High School in Stockbridge, MI. One of his greatest accomplishments was receiving his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, which, allowed him to pursue his love of engineering. Gary was a United States Air Force Veteran. He worked for various government contractors in the Maryland area until he retired. He married Margaret Virginia Felder in 1988 in Farwell, Texas. They were happily married for 32 years. He and wife Margaret were involved at Cana Baptist Church in Burleson.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Virginia Felder Jenkins, stepdaughter Patricia Kowalski, his parents and younger brother, Anthony Lynn Jenkins. He is survived by three stepchildren, William (Cara Beth) Hewitt of Seguin, Texas; Kathy Castillo of Seguin, Texas and Thomas (Martha) Hewitt of Fort Worth, Texas. Step Grandchildren: Michael, Montana and Sebastian Hewitt, Travis and Justin Castillo, Gavin, Seth and Logan Walters; his three brothers: William (Sharon) Jenkins of Houston, Texas; Edward (Mary) Jenkins of Pineville, LA; David (Michele) Jenkins of Largo, FL; two sisters, Jane A. Jenkins (late husband, Thomas Lincoln) of Chino Valley, AZ, Dorothy (Chuck) Huntelman of Lakeside Park, KY: two sisters -in-law; Ann Pace and Nina (Bob) Furman.
