Gary Glen Johnson

Gary Glen Johnson, 72 of Hurst went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday August 27, 2022. Gary was born July 29, 1950, in Memphis Arkansas to Glen Eldon and Johnnie Dell Johnson. He graduated with the class of ’69 from Richland High School and was adored by his classmates and later received the Richland High School Lifetime Achievement Award. Gary was an adoring Husband devoted Father and fun-loving Papa. Gary had the kind of grace, charm and sincerity that is rare, and he will be missed by many. He had a true passion for work with over 40 years of success in Banking and served his community through countless organizations and boards. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Glen Johnson.
Gary is survived by his wife, Kimberly Kaye Johnson and her Father Robert Keeter, and her daughter Sara Morris; his son, Greg Johnson and wife Monica and their children, Julia, Jacob, Joseph and Joshua; his daughter, Brandy Hudson and husband, Andy and their children, Cade and Cassidy; sister, Penny DeLuca and husband, Danny and her children Keri McSpadden, Kyle and Ashley McSpadden and their children, Mason, Hudson, Pierson, Ellyson, and Kati Marquez and husband Jose and their children, Zoe and Ava; and numerous cousins and other family members.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Peace Lutheran Church located at 941 W. Bedford-Euless Road, Hurst, Texas 76053 with Pastor Brian Weaver officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Ellery Arbor Memory Care and Custom Care Hospice for all the loving care given to Gary. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
