Gary Franklin Paris, 73, passed away at a local hospital,surrounded by family on November 21, 2018. His funeral service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, November 30, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
Gary was born on September 22, 1945 to Ernest and Ola Paris. He grew up in Fort Worth with three brothers and a sister. He served in the Air Force before becoming a Certified Public Accountant after obtaining a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Arlington.
He was a long time member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Fort Worth and served as its treasurer for many years. Gary will always be remembered for his willingness to help family and friends and his quick wit.
Gary is survived by his three children, Joseph Paris, Janice Williams and Paulette Hickman; ex-wife Kay Paris; his brother Johnny Paris; his sister Sharon Cowart; and his eight grandchildren Megan Lilljedahl, Kristin Watkins, Wade Williams, Brett Watkins, Blake Williams and Grant Williams, Kayla Hickman and Tyler Hickman.
