Gary E. Phillips Sr.

Gary E. Phillips, Sr. 72, of Haslet, Texas passed away January 11, 2019 at home.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, 5001 NE Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas 76137. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1 in Decatur, Texas. The services will be officiated by Donald Wills. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller, Texas.
Gary was born February 19, 1946 in Decatur, Texas. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Gary loved spending time with his family. He also, never met a stranger and always enjoyed visiting with people he’d meet. Gary was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth where he once served as Deacon.
He was preceded in death by his Parents Dub Phillips and Marie Stamper and one brother, Jerry Phillips.
Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years Debbie Phillips; sons, Gary E. Phillips, Jr. and William Travis Phillips; daughter, Kelly Johnson and husband Paul; grandchildren, Ethan, Kate, Zach and Maddie.
