Gary Warren Richert

Gary passed away on November 30, 2016 at his home in Trophy Club, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Cornelius Richert and Lois Baird Richert.
Gary is survived by his wife of 54 years (57 years of romance), Lola Allen Richert. Other survivors are his daughter Teri Ann Richert Addington and son-in-law Rod Addington, whom he considered the son he never had. Also, his brother Rick (Duane Cornelius) Richert and his wife Sherry, his sister Trudy Richert Kirkpatrick and husband Merrill and their families.
Gary was a medical miracle. In May of 2012, he was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. He started chemo and spent the next 4 ½ years playing golf, traveling, visiting family and working on the bucket list! For a terminally ill man, he spent the remaining years of his life happy, strong and doing the things he enjoyed.
Gary was involved with remodeling the Dallas LIFE center and although he was retired, he was proud to be asked to be part of the remodel project.
In lieu of flowers and services, the family asks for any donations to go to Dallas LIFE. They have set-up a fund to honor Gary.
