Gene Garrison, born on June 21, 1934, in Rodgers Gap, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. Throughout his life, Gene exemplified the principles of service and dedication—qualities that shone brightly during his 20-year career in the United States Air Force. His steadfast commitment to both his country and his family defined his remarkable journey.
Gene was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Anna Pearl and Louis Edward Garrison, his sister Betty Lou Garrison Seeley, his beloved daughter Anna Allison, and his grandson Christopher Myrick. Their loss deeply affected him, but their memories remained a constant source of strength throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Virginia Garrison, who stood by him through all of life’s ups and downs. Gene’s family extends to his sister Charlsey Klein, as well as his children: Debbie (Chris) Myrick, Tarayna Luka, Steven (Carrie) Garrison, Diane (Jody) Favia, Susan (Curtis) Ambrose, and John (Luz) McSweeney. The joy he found in his role as a grandfather was immeasurable, and he leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense happiness.
Gene will be lovingly remembered for his unwavering dedication, remarkable strength, and the boundless love he shared with all those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of his family and friends, forever an enduring presence in their lives.
