Georg M. Rey

Georg M. Rey, of Colleyville, Texas, passed away on June 23, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on February 26, 1948, in Altomuenster, Germany, he was a devoted family man who was tough, but fair, with a big heart. He never hesitated to do anything or sacrifice anything for his family.

He was constantly active, especially in his younger years. An avid soccer fan, that began with his playing for the club 1860 in Munich as a youth. Many conversations were had about players and questionable referee calls with his brother, Gerhard. He was also a lifelong model enthusiast, notably trains, which was passed down from his father.

In his professional life, he led an amazing career from Singer to CGK to founding REYcomp Incorporated in 1994. He was equally passionate about providing high-quality products, serving customers well, and taking care of his staff. Always eager to hear different perspectives and enjoyed finding creative solutions to challenges both significant and minor. Georg ran the business, as he did everything in life, hand-in-hand with his wife, Evi, from the start and later added his two children. "Quality is doing it right, even when no one is looking."

Georg is survived by his wife, Evi Monika Rey; his son, Philipp with wife Danielle and his grandsons, Mathias and Theodore Rey; his daughter, Julia with husband John Higgins; his brother, Gerhard Rey; his sister, Eva Maria Saller; and his brother Christian Rey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mathias and mother, Maria Rey. A funeral service for Georg will be held on July 21, 2023, at 11am at Good Shepherd in Colleyville. Following the service, a burial will take place at Parker Memorial Cemetery. Flowers and expressions of condolences may be sent to Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, Texas.
