George Henry Dunn Jr.

George Henry Dunn, Jr. was born in Coleman, Texas, on June 11, 1931, and passed away on January 17, 2022. He was a graduate of Coleman High School, Class of 1949. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in active and reserve military forces for 26 years retiring as Senior Master Sergeant (SMSGT). He was an active partner and operator of Handy Stop convenience stores for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George H. Dunn, Sr., and Sarah Ann Dunn, three sisters: Cleo Dunn, Velman Helton, and Doris Tillman, and two brothers: Raymond Dunn and Berlie Dunn. He is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 64 ½ years, Wanda, Son Greg of Bedford, Daugther and son-in-law, Tim and Michelle Taylor of Bedford. His four grandchildren, Gregory Bryant Dunn of Plano, Valerie Brooke Dunn of Fort Worth, Blake and wife, Sarah of Dallas, Brice, and wife, Rachel of Forth Worth.

George accepted Christ as his savior on November 9, 1948, and was baptized at Central Baptist Church in Coleman soon after that. He was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church.
