George Anthony Flores, 50, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 in Grapevine, TX
George was born June 18, 1971 in Kerrville, TX to George Flores and Oralia Hernandez. He attended Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, TX, but graduated from Lindale High School in Lindale, TX where he met his first wife, Kim Harvey. With Kim he had his first daughter, Chesley Flores (married to Kinsey Martin). He attended Tyler Junior College which is where he met the love of his life, Bonnie Parker, whom he married and had two more daughters, Sydney and Aimee Flores. He has three beautiful grandchildren, Caralee, Nola and Noble Martin.
He worked for Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler for 25 years. He was a Produce Manager, Quality Control Inspector for Produce, and Produce Manager for the new Fresh by Brookshire's. He even drove an 18-wheel truck for a year.
He then moved to Grapevine, TX with his wife and two younger children and became a Broker at Shraad, then landed his dream job as a Regional Sales Manager with Kikkoman Sales, USA.
George loved to SCUBA dive and travel to exotic places. He enjoyed going to the beach every opportunity he had.
Everyone who knew George loved him. He was an outgoing, loving, caring and wise person. He loved talking with people, meeting new people and spending time with family and friends. He gave great advise, never judged, and genuinely loved everyone he knew.
George was preceded in death by his father, George Flores and brother Omar Omungo
Survivors include his wife Bonnie Flores, three children Chesley Martin (Kinsey), Sydney Flores and Aimee Flores; his three grandchildren, Caralee, Nola and Noble Martin; his mother, Oralia “Lolly” Flores; brother Carlos Flores (Lara) and sister Tilly McLeod (Michael). He had 18 nephews and nieces, three great nephews, and numerous loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:00 am at Lucas Funeral Home Grapevine, 700 W. Wall Street, Grapevine, TX 76051. Due to COVID and limitations on space, the family asks that everyone who attends in person wear a mask. The family also encourages, those that can, to attend services via live stream at:
