His passion for scouting began upon his entering the local Cub Scout Pack back in 1957.
His love of travel took him and his wife, Susan, through various National Parks across the United
States. His enthusiastic joy of Disney also took them countless trips to Walt Disney World and
Disneyland.
A highlight of his travels was the honor of meeting Pope Benedict XVI in Rome, Italy which, also,
happened to be on George’s birthday.
George served faithfully God, Church and his Family; his wife Susan of 51 years, children George
Jr., Jennifer Sparks and Sarah Branham (Benjamin) and his grandchildren Samuel George Sparks and
Elle Marie Branham.
